Eastpointe DDA - Our Story

We have recently been busy overseeing the restructuring and revitalization of the downtown area. Starting in the winter and spring of 2007 we sponsored, and are now implementing, the results of a Visioning Project for downtown that is designed to attract the commercial and creative classes.

With the help of Giffels-Webster Engineers, we are making our vision real; building new bicycle paths and walkable pathways, which will inspire social activity within our renewed urban core. Art, beautiful landscaping and floral decorations, will line the streets for our growing business community. Gratiot will be minimized to allow for street-side parking which will increase downtown traffic and commercial activity.

Our efforts to create a renewed downtown will benefit our local community while attracting new businesses, visitors and residents. We help our business community achieve their highest goals, reach new markets, navigate Eastpointe's assistance programs & city permit process, and to network locally. It is all part of our plan to create a beautiful, walkable, and thriving gateway city between Detroit and Macomb County.
